I was at Gallifrey One this past weekend, and during one of the panels while John Levene (who played Sgt. Benton) was telling a story about Nick Courtney he paused to say “he sends his love.” It’s quite possible that was his last message to the Doctor Who community and it brings a tear to my eye remembering it.
